heaven or hell Recently, I started to use the autotools for building a project. But I am really unhappy with it – although a lot of special cases can be handled by the toolchain, it is extremely complex to use and prone to user errors. After investigating Amazon’s EC2 service, we decided to roll out PHASTGrid, our service-oriented middleware, on the cloud. And, of course, just as we went for a customer demo, Amazon had some infrastructure problems and nothing worked.
